On June 3, our first group of Grandpals were given a big thank you for a successful first year! Dr. Susan Genco, principal of Cranbury School, and Marilynn Mullen were on hand to greet the participants, and to commend them for their service to the community. Also on hand were Grandpal’s Coordinator Anne Gordon, and kindergarten teachers Barbara Adams and Pam Szabo.
Grandpals matches older adults with kindergarten students on a weekly basis to enjoy the love of reading. The program centers on the relationships built between the seniors and the children, and is not about formal instruction! If you think you might be interested in joining next year, please contact the library at (609) 655-0555.
