From the Tech Librarian – February 2017

This February I will be presenting the first of a two-part series on how to use Microsoft Excel.  This month’s class will take place on Thursday, February 16th at 1:00 p.m.  It will be an introductory overview of Excel for beginners.  Excel is a very powerful tool that you can use in your everyday life to organize lists and address labels, create household budgets, and much more.  Once you learn the basics, you’ll discover many reasons to use this versatile program.

Do you have boxes full of recipe cards or folders full of pages torn from food magazines? To coincide with our 2017 “Booking the Cooks” programming theme, I will present Organize your Recipes Digitally, on Thursday, February 23rd at 7:00 p.m. This program will discuss how to digitize and organize those recipes so that they are available to you on any of your electronic devices.

Save the date for NJ Makers Day 2017 on Saturday, March 25th from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.!  This year will be an event not to miss with tons of Science, Technology and Engineering activities for all ages. There is even an Escape Room Challenge!  Stay tuned for details!
