The following databases can be accessed both at the library and at home. Accessing these databases from home does require that you enter a library card number, with the exception of library catalogs, web directories and portals. This resource includes the entire Encyclopedia Britannica (with more than 10,000 maps and images) as well as Merriam-Websters Collegiate Dictionary and a directory of more than 13,000 internet resources chosen by Britannica editors.
Business Searching Interface*
This resources is a refined business search tool which gathers information from a variety of rich resources. In addition, the BSI interface features easy access to search options for Company, Industry, Author, Subject, and Publication lists, all from the Basic Search Screen.

Provides full text coverage for more than a thousand journals covering scholarly business, management and economics journals.
Classical Music Library

This resource provides full text access to the Cranbury Press from 1886-1926. MAC and Netscape browser users can click HERE for access.

This resource provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Coverage of nursing and allied health is particularly strong.
HeritageQuest* |At Home| |At Library|
HeritageQuest Online includes all of the images, and extensive indexing, from the 1790 - 1930 U.S. federal censuses. It offers nearly 8,000 family histories and over 12,000 local histories. Additionally, there are documents such as tax lists, city directories, probate records, and more.
InfoTrac Custom Newspapers*

A web directory (operated by Drexel University) with links to reliable and trustworthy Internet resources on a variety of topics across many disciplines. The Internet Public Library also provides a free email reference service.

Provided and funded by the New Jersey State Library, this resource provides access to more tha 25 different databases, most with full-text available. You will be prompted to login with your library card.

Provided by the New Jersey State Library, this union catalog allows for searching across most of New Jersey's public library catalogs. It is the most comprehensive catalog for public library materials in the state

This child friendly database provides a visually stimulating and appealing interface for children, combined strong search capability for a variety of age-appropriate resources. This database also includes a Teachers Resource search feature.
Librarians Internet Index
A web based directory and search engine of annotated web resources chosen by librarians for their usefulness, reliability and authority. Keyword and directory based searching is available with this resource.
Libraries of Middlesex Consortium Public Access Catalog (LMxAC)
A union catalog for the libraries that participate in the LMxAC consortium, which includes many public libraries in both Middlesex and Union counties.

This web resource is a clearinghouse of information regarding national legislation, Congressional activities, committees and records. The site also provides a nice set of materials for teachers.

Contains full text for more than 1,750 periodicals covering general reference, business, health, education, general science, multicultural issues and much more. Designed specifically for public libraries.
MAS Ultra - School Collection*
This comprehensive database, designed specifically for high school libraries, contains full text for more than 500 popular, high school magazines.
McClatchy-Tribune Collection*
Provides access to a 90 day archive of more than 280 national and international newspapers.
Middle Search Plus*
Provides full-text for more than 140 popular middle school magazines.
NetLibrary
Search for and download ebooks and audiobooks from NetLibrary's extensive catalog. This database does require creation of an account before begin able to access the search and download features. Accounts can currently ONLY be created from library computers. See a library staff member if you are interested in creating an account.
