Does your child lives with a SENSE OF WONDER? Children used to develop and fortify their confidence, imagination and creativity through unstructured play in the outdoors. Please join us in this FREE two-part program examining the importance of nature in our children's lives. This program is presented by the Stony Brook Millstone Watershed Association

Senior Gaming Event : Wii Bowling and Golf

Have you heard of the the Nintendo Wii and wondered what it is all about? We'll the short answer is FUN!!!! Come by the Cranbury Senior Center to try out this truly engaging interactive video games system that will having you bowling a strike or putting for a birdie as if you were actually at the course, on in the alley. Many senior community groups throughout the area have been able to enjoy this unique and fun experience at their libraries, now its your turn!! SLiC Teens from your community will be there as mentors to help get you started. Don't miss the fun!!

Computer Classes @ Your Library (2008)

Tuesday, May 6th
4:00 - 6:00pm
Advanced Microsoft Word
So you know how to change your margins and the color of your text? Then, your ready to join us for this class where we will take your Word skills a step further including creating text boxes, working with images, creating headers and footers, and many more quick tips to add some flair to the document or report! Students should be familiar with using a mouse and have some prior experience with Word.

Wednesday, May 14th
4:00 - 6:00pm
Introduction to Email
This class will cover the basics of using an email account including how to create and receive emails, how to send and save attachments, organizing your emails. We will also help those students who do not have email accounts to create one of their own. Students should be familiar with using a mouse.

Wednesday, May 21st
4:00 - 5:30pm
Travel Resources on the Web
Have you made your travel plans for this summer? Whether you have or haven't, if you are interested in, or are going to do any traveling this class has something for you! We will cover websites and resources which can help you find discount travel prices, find information about locations you may be interested in seeing, or even organize your travel itinerary with added extras. Students should be familiar with using a mouse.

Registration is required for all computer classes. To register call the Library at 609-655-0555 or stop by the circulation desk.


You can also practice and learn computer skills from your own computer at home! Here are some great computer tutorials online that teach using a mouse, using Windows, basic Internet (using a browser) and searching the Internet.  Come into the library to use one of our computers or try the tutorials at home.

Finally, you can find supplemental material for computer classes taught at the Library by visiting the
Library Lounge on the Web. Here you will have access to information, links to interactive tutorials, as well as short movies covering a variety of beginnning computer user topics

Senior Movie Matinee: Ratatouille

Friday, May 16 @ 1pm
Join us at the Senior Center for this month's movie matinee of Ratatouille, an animated adventure about a rat from the French countryside who makes his way to the big city of Paris and learns to cook the best ratatouille in France. Those lending their voices to the animated characters in this film include Peter O'Toole and Brian Dennehy. Note: This film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film of 2007.
